The One Where I Explain My Name

I feel like I should explain the name change. I mean, it is my blog and I can do whatever I want :) but I digress. 

I have stated in my "about me" section I am an avid Disney fan. I love all things Disney, from the movies to the World. When I was thinking about writing again, I toyed with the thought of keeping it Lock and Key. Love the book by that same name, part of the reason why I chose it. But I just didn't love the name anymore. Plain and simple. I was watching Return to Neverland while babysitting and the whole scene when Wendy, John and Michael try to fly around the room with Peter in Peter Pan came to my mind. They couldn't fly because they needed to first "think of a wonderful thought" and even that didn't work because they needed 3 things.

  1) Faith. They had to have faith that they would fly. Now the only way I'll be flying is on an airplane, unless I grow wings. But the moral of the story is they had FAITH that it was possible. I have faith that anything and everything is possible with God. I have a relationship with him, and through him anything is possible.

  2) Trust. They had to trust Peter Pan that what he was saying was true, they had to trust that they could fly. I think that what I said about faith, is also true with trust.

3) Pixie Dust. They needed the pixie dust to fly, they needed the magic. Now the closest thing I have to pixie dust is glitter, and glitter doesn't make you fly. But I think that this part just represents the Disney fan and the child in me. 

So that is that folks! Hope you understand why I changed it and why I love it. 

The One Where I Come Back

After a brief 5 month break, I'm back. I'm revitalized. I'm refreshed. I'm ready for new things. Things have changed since July, school has ended, I have a new job,  I'm a year older and I'm obsessed with the color mustard yellow and gray. 


I thought about leaving blogger and creating something new through iWeb, but I can't afford MobileMe and I'm not techie enough to figure out how to publish it without MobileMe. Maybe someday in the future. I wonder if they have an iWeb for Dummies....I could use it.


I was reading my attempted iWeb site and I said that I would be publishing weekly if not daily, feature all this stuff and I realized I had wrote that 2 months ago and never even fulfilled one of those things. Of course, you wouldn't know that because that site had ONE reader......ME!


So, I don't know if you've ever heard of this tradition called "New Year's Resolution"...well if you haven't you may go here :) My New Year's Resolution is to blog at least twice a week. You heard it here first, folks. And I know, I know, it's only December 16th. I thought I'd get a head start.


I may even do TWO posts today, cause thats just how I roll.
